All data is refreshed daily via scheduled Netlify functions.
The gap score (0–100) is a weighted composite of: trial pipeline density (how few trials exist for an indication), patient burden (prevalence and severity), designation eligibility (Orphan, Breakthrough, Fast Track proximity), patent landscape proximity (how far from first-to-file opportunity), and Clincol public awareness signal. Weights are adjusted quarterly based on clinical outcome correlations.
Yes. Free plan is free forever. Pro and Team plans are month-to-month by default — cancel anytime from your account settings, no questions asked. Annual billing is available at 15% discount for Pro and Team plans.

When many people search for information on a drug or disease indication on Clincol, that aggregate (anonymized) search volume is fed back as a gap signal into Arbitrant’s scoring model. High public awareness + low trial density = an underserved indication that the public is actively seeking solutions for.
